The Personal Touch

Sometimes in business, your word is all you have. This is especially true for small businesses or businesses in small towns or rural areas, as you have fewer customers to interact with. Every interaction is vital, and a negative review or impression can drastically influence people's opinion of you in the community. It's important to keep your word, deliver on promises, and never commit to something you can't make good on.

When you're running a small business, you are always "on," and can't afford to have an off day. It doesn't matter when someone calls, they are immediately your number one priority. This is the price we pay to try to go from a startup to a successful business. It may seem hard at first, but once you realize it's all the golden rule anyway, it's not so tough. Just treat every person you deal with the way you, personally, would like to be treated when you walk into a store. No, I don't mean accosted by 5 sales reps in 30 seconds all desperate to make a sale on commission. I'm talking about the way you're treated when you walk into a bespoke tailor's shop. Personal, friendly, and dedicated.

You see, small businesses have something to offer that big corporations just can't match: the personal touch. We have the time and the availability to give our customers one-on-one attention and focus that a faceless corporation can never match, no matter how much they tell their customer service reps to smile and be friendly. Not to mention a level of knowledge and experience an entry level employee could never hope to match.

Because each customer is so very precious to us, personally, we have the perspective to treat them accordingly, and that shows in the quality of service we provide. So remember us little guys the next time you're looking for a new product or service. We'll make sure you get your money's worth, every time.
